Leroy G. Wade, age 61, of Chesterton, Indiana, formerly of Pottstown, PA, passed away suddenly at his home. He was the son of the late Leroy Wade, Jr. and Elizabeth Wade.
Leroy attended Pottstown High School, where he played football. He then served in the U.S. Army. For most of his working career, he was a machinist for the Bethlehem Steel Co. both in Pottstown, PA and Indiana.
He was an automobile and motorcycle enthusiast. Leroy was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, but was known for his enjoyment of a good Philly Cheese Steak.

Also surviving are several cousins
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother – Larry R. Wade, Sr., who died on Nov. 11, 1967 while serving in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and his nephew, Leonard Wade.
Relatives and friends are invited to Leroy’s Life Celebration, 11 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Deacon George Harmansky will officiate. Interment with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown, PA. Friends may greet the family from 10-11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
