Ronald David Pershall of Elverson, Pennsylvania, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.
Ron was born in Philadelphia on June 29, 1942, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Culley) Pershall, who preceded him in death. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years, Marcia (Wolf), and their children: Jennifer and Jeffery Horrocks, David and Lisa (Brown) Pershall, Scott Pershall, Jessica and Jamison Carroll, and Laura and Dale Inmon, their 25 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and his brother, Richard.
After graduating from Peirce College and serving in the US Army, Ron and his wife, Marica, began Action-Impact, Inc., a youth ministry focused on introducing students to Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and teaching them to walk with Him by faith. Over the past 55 years, Ron was privileged to mentor hundreds of students, equipping them to share the hope they have in Jesus with their friends, families, and the world. His passion for Jesus and love for everyone he encountered was evident through how he lived his life.
In addition to his ministry with Action, Ron took on the responsibility as pastor of East Nantmeal Christian Fellowship in Elverson, where he and Marcia have served faithfully for the past 22 years.
Ron was also the president and owner of Viking Chocolate Company, doing business as Viking Food Group, which he founded in 1984, after working for many years with his father-in-law, Frank Wolf.
A Service of Praise and Thanksgiving will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 1:00 pm at High Point Baptist Chapel, 200 Chapel Road, Geigertown, PA, 19523. Guests may begin arriving at noon. A reception with light refreshments will follow at Action-Impact, 80 Vickery Lane, Elverson, PA 19520.
