Gloria Kerr

Gloria Catherine (Hauseman) Kerr, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 23, 2022, at her home in Pottstown, PA. She was the wife of the late Gerald S. Kerr, who passed away in 2013.

Born in Pottstown, PA, on October 29, 1933, Gloria was the daughter of the late Irvin K. Hauseman and M. Catherine (Eschbach) Hauseman.

For many years, Gloria worked as a sales associate and assistant manager for Sears, and held several positions in the Lincoln Elementary School PTA. She was a former member and deaconess of First Church of the Brethren in Pottstown, and an active and faithful member of Trinity Church of Boyertown. Gloria had a creative flair that enabled her to grow award-winning roses, sew many of her own clothes, decorate cakes and Christmas cookies, and create special salads and desserts for her family. She also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, reading, attending Trojan basketball games, and cheering on the Phillies and Eagles. While all of these hobbies and pastimes were important to Gloria, her most cherished memories came from spending time with her family.

Gloria is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Bonnie (& Doug) Trainer, Sherrie (& Jay) Fazekas, Terri (& the late John Jr.) Gofus, Judi (& Bret) Wrigley, and Holly Paschall; her grandchildren, Brad Trainer, Rachel Trainer, Sarah Zirkle, Nathan Fazekas, Danielle Moyer, John Gofus III, David Gofus, Blake Wrigley, Kale Wrigley, Seth Wrigley, Paige Wrigley, Brittany Paschall, Lamont “Kerry” Paschall Jr., Briana Paschall, and Micah Paschall; 21 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Robert (& Demi) Hauseman, Gail (& George) Sheeler, and Rosemary Hauseman.

A viewing will take place on Thursday, May 26, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464.
