Obituary of Kaylene Erben
Kaylene (Little) Erben, 63, of Topton, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Hahnemann University Hospital.
Born in Butte, Montana, Kaylene was the daughter of Ella J. (Fine) Little and the late Kay C. Little.
Kaylene worked as a home health aide for Helping Hands, Professional Nursing Services, and many private duty cases. She was very adept at caring for people. She enjoyed spending time listening to music, dancing, gardening, playing softball, rollerblading, skiing, horseback riding, hunting, fishing, camping, and floating down the Yellowstone River. She was very skillful at making crafts, designing floral arrangements, and decorating. Kaylene adored spending time with her sons while they were growing up, especially acting out various characters through play-acting. Finally, her love and active belief in God was most important in her life. She trusted her Father, God, to keep her from evil and to keep things simple. She truly viewed herself as “Daddy’s Little Girl,” and with the world as her playground she spread an attitude of Joy everywhere she went. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. With hope in Christ we know, as she did, that we will be together soon.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
For the Lord (Jesus Christ) himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,
to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by four sons, Tucker, Travis, and Jesse Delich, and Skyler Erben; three grandchildren, Jackson, Ella Rose, and Marni Lee Delich; six siblings, Karen Little, Dennis Little, Diane Alex-Brody, Ronald Little, Robert Little, and John Kelley; nieces and nephews include, Colleen, David, Cindy, Dustin, K.C., Lindsey, Leah, Cynthia, Jennifer, Breean, Cheyenne, Dillon, Harley, and Keern; as well as great nephews and nieces, and great, great nephews.
In addition to her father, she is predeceased by her beloved nephew, Shane Little.
A remembrance service will be held in her honor in Deibert Hall at the Lutheran Home at Topton on Friday, May 31, 2019. Family and photos will be present from 11:00a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The remembrance service will begin at 11:30 a.m. with refreshments to follow. Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom….
For we are saved by hope….
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer
Now the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven,
whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:
Remembering without ceasing your work of believing, and labor of love,
and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God
and our Saviour (and brother) Jesus Christ;
Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast….
According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed,
but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body,
whether it be by life, or by death.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto the living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the belief: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
