Obituary of Naomi (Mott) Geiger

Naomi (Mott) Geiger, 86, of Zieglerville, PA, passed away on September 30, 2020, at Frederick Living. She was the wife of the late Franklin E. Geiger Jr., with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.

Born in Glenmora, LA, on September 5, 1934, Naomi was the daughter of the late Marshal and Bessie (Kennedy) Mott.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons, F. Edward Geiger III, husband of Natalie, Mechanicsburg, PA, Marshall A. Geiger, husband of Susan, Midlothian, VA, and Samuel L. Geiger, husband of Susan, Douglassville, PA; her grandchildren, Lissa (& Josh), Emma, Rebecca, David, Jonathan, Katelyn, Aleesha, Matthew, Toni (& Mike), Sarah, and Joshua; and her great-grandchildren, Isaac, Eleanora “Nora”, Levi, Robbie (& Ella), and Owen (& Breanna).

Naomi spent most of her life doing what she loved- teaching children. First as an educator for more than 30 years (most of which she spent in second grade,) second as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher in her church, and third and most importantly, as an influential presence in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives. She loved to craft and sew, making beautiful quilts and clothing for her family. Her other hobbies included cooking southern foods, volunteering with The Gideons International, and Birthright, a pregnancy crisis organization, and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Gideons International at https://www.gideons.org/or to support your local church.
