Kenny Mauger

Obituary of Kenny J. Mauger

Kenneth “Kenny” Jay Mauger, 58, of Douglassville, PA, passed away on May 13, 2021, at Pottstown Hospital – Tower Health. He was the husband of Tami L. (Dever) Mauger, with whom he shared 28 years of marriage.

Born in Pottstown, PA, on November 7, 1962, Kenny was the son of Kathleen E. (Miller) Mauger, and the late Kenneth “Ken” H. Mauger, who passed in 2007.

Kenny began his career working for Doehler-Jarvis for 18 years, before its closing in 1997. He then began working for DANA Incorporated, where he worked for 14 years. During his time at Doehler-Jarvis and DANA, Kenny was very active with the Local Union 644 UAW, and served as Chief Steward for 6 years. In his spare time, Kenny enjoyed gardening, caring for animals, and watching sports, specifically cheering on the New York Mets and the Minnesota Vikings. Although Kenny’s career and hobbies were important to him, family was his top priority. He was a dedicated son, brother, husband, father, and PopPop, who will be deeply missed.

In addition to his wife and mother, Kenny is lovingly remembered by his son, Jon T. Stimmel Jr.; his daughter, Christina L. (& Travis) Ellis; his grandchildren, Avery Stimmel, Tristan Ellis, and Trevor Ellis; and his sisters, Cynthia (& Mark) DePaoli, Karen (& Donald Amole) Derecola, and Kristine (& Merrill Douglas Jr.) Shirey.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 20, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A Life Celebration will follow at 6:00 p.m.
