Obituary of Earl E. Sheetz
We are heartbroken to announce that Earl “Chuck” Edward Sheetz, 67, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on September 12, 2022, at Pottstown Hospital. He was the husband of Kathleen (Cook) Sheetz, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.
Born in Pottstown, PA, on March 27, 1955, Chuck was the son of the late Edward Earl Sheetz and Marjorie Irene (Gumbarge) Sheetz Weller, and stepson of the late Ernest Weller.
Chuck was a lifelong and avid fan of “America’s Team,” the five-time Super Bowl Champions, the Dallas Cowboys. He was a tremendous athlete, and for many years was a staple on local softball teams in Pottstown, North Coventry, and Linfield. He was also a helluva pool player for many Pottstown area teams, earning a bedroom filled with trophies. Even beyond all of his sports achievements, Chuck was most proud to be a “Poppy” to his precious grandchildren. The joy in his eyes when seeing or speaking of his grandchildren made his love for them evident to all who knew him. Chuck was loved by more people than he could ever know; he will be deeply missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
In addition to his wife, Chuck is lovingly remembered by his son, France (& Kristen) Krazalkovich; his daughter, Tanya (& Dan Diehl) Krazalkovich; his grandchildren, Haylie, Shelby, Joshua, Daniel, Jacob, Nathaniel, and Amelia; his siblings, Susan (& Skip) Beiler, Gail (& Paul Eltringham) Grim, Patti (& Roy) McMasters, Brenda Gaugler, and Timothy Weller; and a “shitload” of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
In addition to his parents and stepfather, he is predeceased by his sister, Ruth “Snookie” Sheetz.
